A good survey is always the first part of a successful loft access job

Loft storage can be a really useful solution. It creates economical extra floor space for the things you want to keep hold – nut don’t always use – at home. We have seen people using converted loft storage space for clothes, extra bedding, tools, spaces to store beer fermenting barrels, old vinyls, heirlooms, bikes, Christmas decorations and more. When we went to meet Andy and survey this loft in Simmondley, there was a problem of a gravity-fed water tank hogging the space.

We made a recommendation at the start of the project that the water tank could be repositioned. This would maximise the storage space, make it more safe, and create less hazardous access and egress. The job gave Andy and his family a neat and tidy new space upstairs. The sturdy ladders drop down easily onto the landing. And everything was finished just how Andy wanted it. The insulation we laid makes the space more cosy and soundproof. It will also pay for itself in the long-term thanks to the heat insulation and energy savings.

What a great customer. And 12 months later we were invited back to refurbish a bedroom and ensuite bathroom.
